Here at All Saints we take the safety of children, young people and vulnerable adults very seriously.
We are committed to implementing all safeguarding policies and practice guidance issued by the House of Bishops. We have adopted the Church of England policy Promoting a Safer Church as our safeguarding policy and you can read it here. You can find our acceptance of this policy here.
If you have concerns about the safety of a child or adult in a vulnerable situation connected to the church then we have people trained to respond.

At All Saints Patcham, we are committed to listening to, supporting, and caring for victims and survivors of abuse. If you wish to report abuse or disclose a concern within the Church, you can contact our Parish Safeguarding Officer or the Diocese of Chichester Safeguarding Team, who will guide you through our clear reporting procedures and ensure immediate, compassionate support throughout and following any investigation. All personal information and allegations are handled with strict confidentiality and referred to statutory services (such as police or social care) in line with national Church of England guidelines and safeguarding legislation. If you prefer to reach out to independent statutory services or external support organisations directly, assistance is available nationally through Samaritans, NSPCC, Stop It Now, MACSAS, and Survivors Voices, as well as locally via Sussex-based charities like Survivors' Network.
